Reader Stories: Gay Teens Straight Crushes: Experiences from Those Who've Been There

See Published Stories

Having a crush on someone who doesn't know you exist, let alone return your feelings, is almost a teenage right of passage.

For GLBT teens, though, things can be particularly difficult if the object of your affection is straight.

As a reader says:

"I am deeply in love with this guy (pretty sure he's straight) who i have known for about a year. He is a 16 year old that I see almost everyday, though we dont talk that often. He is very mature for his age and makes me excited when we do strike up conversations. Most of the time, I try to crack jokes in order to see him laugh."
