Who Did You Come Out to First?
last year i told my stepbrother.he's like a year younger than me and goes to a different school and i didn't think he would tell my dad or anyone else.
Were There Any Challenges?
i thought he'd be cool with it because he has this friend whos bisexual whos a girl but he was more like, 'dude are you serious' like he thought i was joking or maybe he wished i was joking. but then i was like, yeah i'm serious and he didn't really say anything. that was a while ago and we haven't really talked about it since. things are fine with us (i only see him on vacations and stuff) and it never really comes up any more. but i kind of wonder if he is freaked out or just doesn't really care.
Advice
- i guess i would say that just because someone has a gay friend that doens't mean they will know what to say.
- but in my case it was ok, i mean i just wanted to tell someone, i din't need to talk about it too much
- maybe if you don't have someone your own age who you think will be helpful try to tell someone older who is more mature about this stuff
