Question: How Can I Deal Now That My Ex is With Someone New?
Answer:

Breaking-up is bad enough, but you know what can be even worse? When your ex starts seeing someone new the day after you called it quits!

As a lesbian teen writes:

"My first serious relationship with a girl I really liked ended with a bang and her kissing someone else a day later. I won't get into too much detail, but I was just wondering if anyone else on this site has or is going through the same thing. I feel stupid for being so torn about it, since it was only a 2 month long relationship, and it's been a month since it ended. It's just hard to get over it after seeing her publicly announce her new relationship the day after the breakup."

This sounds so tough! Not only are you dealing with your own emotions surrounding the end of your first relationship, but it sounds like you also feel hurt that your ex would hook-up with someone else right after you two had just split up.

It is normal to feel sad, hurt and even jealous in this situation, no matter how long or short your relationship was with this girl. It might help to talk to a friend or adult who you trust about what is going on, and if possible to steer clear of your ex until you can see her without feeling terrible.
