MSM (Men Who Have Sex with Men)

Definition: MSM stands for "men who have sex with men." This term is often used by health care professionals because it refers to a person's behavior and not to his sexual orientation. This is important because a person's sexual orientation does not always reflect his behavior. For example, a gay man might not be having sex with men, and a man who identifies as heterosexual might still have sex with men.
