Image (c) M. PottsBetween the Lines is a comic about a group of transgender teens. Main characters, Shay and Dani must simultaneously navigate the challenges of adolescence, while also dealing with complicated issues related to gender and identity.

Photo (c) Houghlin MifflinAlison Bechdel is well-known for her long running comic, Dykes to Watch Out For, a strip about the intersecting lives of a group of lesbians. She is also the author of, Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic, which chronicles Bechdel's life through the lens of her father's suicide. Through pictures and words, it deals with her childhood and coming out at 18.
