1. Yu & Me: Dream: A Comic About Teen Lesbians in Love

Megan Rose Gedris has created a beautiful comic about teen lesbians attending Catholic school and falling in love. Loosely based, on the Cinderella story, YU+ME follows Fiona as she comes out of her shell and discovers she is a lesbian.

2. The Werewif: A Comic that Challenges Ideas About Gender

The Werewif is a comic that challenges ideas about gender by creating a hero who turns from male to female on the full moon.

3. Between the Lines: A Comic About Transgender Teens

Between the Lines is a comic about a group of transgender teens. Main characters, Shay and Dani must simultaneously navigate the challenges of adolescence, while also dealing with complicated issues related to gender and identity.

4. Alison Bechdal: Lesbian Cartoonist

Alison Bechdel is well-known for her long running comic, Dykes to Watch Out For, a strip about the intersecting lives of a group of lesbians. She is also the author of, Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic, which chronicles Bechdel's life through the lens of her father's suicide. Through pictures and words, it deals with her childhood and coming out at 18.
