GLBT Hip Hop & Rap
It's no secret that plenty of lyrics in hip hop and rap are homophobic. But that doesn't mean the genre is off limits to GLBT artists. In fact, there are probably a lot more gay hip hop and rap artists that you might realize!
There was even a GLBT hip hop and rap tour, recently called HomoRevolution, that visited ten cities in the Pacific SouthWest to showcase GLBT acts.
I had the chance to ask the HomoRevolution organizer, Camilo Arenivar, as well as artists, Bigg Nugg and Deadlee some questions about their experiences, and what they have in store for the future.
