Sage's Coming Out Experience

Sage

Coming out was the hardest and best thing I ever did.

I don't know what was harder coming to terms with myself or the rest of the world.

I knew I was gay the second Courtney Elizabeth came into the room. My stomach dropped and my heart stopped. Now we don't talk. But I'll never forget my first love, first sexual experience, my first everything.

She helped me figure out my sexuality. Helped me come out to myself and my parents and friends.

I still love her for everything she did.

My family is cool with it but they just don't understand that it's a huge deal to me. Coming out was a major thing for me. It will be one year since I came out on the 18th. My family just had to warm up to the idea.

The first thing my mom said was, "Now we don't have to worry about you getting pregnant as a teen." And my dad said he was happy he didn't have to beat up any boys (lol) and my sisters are cool too. My older one gives the girlfriends the talk about not hurting me or she will hurt them.
