Ok, what I did was I just wrote a letter even though that isn't the best way. I personally find it easier than just telling people in words.
But if it might endanger your living conditions I wouldn't do it. I knew my mom would love me no matter what and even if she kicked me out I had 2 cousins, one in Washington and one in Baton Rouge, that would have taken me in.
